The Shamail Muhammadiyyah Ensemble is an Islamic musical ensemble hailing from the city of Meknes, Morroco. Their performances has been a mainstay in the Moroccan Islamic music scene since 1999 and they have been invited and participated in many large-scale performances and concerts, both locally within Morocco and internationally at concerts in in Toulouse, France in 1999, Kairouan in Tunisia and many others.
Led by powerful Morrocan vocalist, Sidi Ismail Boujia, the band’s explosive performances captured the imagination of established Islamic musician Sami Yusuf, leading to a magical headlining collaborative performance of Sami Yusuf’s ‘Madad’ premiere Live at the epicenter of sacred music – The Fes Festival of World Sacred Music.
